Welcome to Sussex Field Notes. If you have come in search of seasonal details, wild rambles, natural history and rural heritage, then hopefully you shall enjoy the content within these pages.
Since its conception in my teens, the blog has gone through a number of incarnations, a bit like the instars of a caterpillar – much of this early content is still accessible via the ‘Archive posts’ menu option – please do have a browse, or choose from the drop down options to view blogs from a specific category of interest. Now, as I set up home for myself and my partner, and look forward to goals and intentions, the blog continues to act as a creative space to explore and share.
From wonderful wildlife watching moments close to my West Sussex home, to days out exploring the sights and wonders of the wider countryside, and our deep tapestry of rural history, I look forward to sharing with you my experiences and discoveries.
Please do join the conversation; I’d really love to hear from you. Either comment below the blogs, or search @sxfieldnotes on social media.
I’ll pop the kettle on.
