Gardens Month Friday Feature: The Gardening Tourist

Whoops! The glorious sunshine we are all enjoying this weekend distracted me with a day out doors – so yesterdays Friday Photo Feature never got published.

…until now! One day late but hopefully worth the wait!

A few years ago I was lucky enough to have to opportunity to undertake a work placement for two weeks in August, at the fabulous and world renowned Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Of course, I couldn’t help but come away with rather a lot of photos in addition to the brilliant experience I gained.

At the time the temperate house was undergoing major restoration, and was stripped to its enormous victorian bones; a strange and moving sight. The rest of the gardens were packed with the most incredible array of plant collections. I have tried to capture a selection for your to enjoy here:
